Mark Hughes is being linked with Gianfranco Zola's job at West Ham United.

The People says Hughes will be offered a quick return to the Premier League - if David Sullivan wins his £50million West Ham fight.

Hughes, axed by Manchester City last weekend, is top of a potential list of targets Sullivan is putting together if he gets the nod to take over the struggling Hammers.

Sullivan is desperately looking for available bosses who can lift West Ham out of trouble and be able to spend some of his cash wisely.

Hughes' availability and proven record, plus the fact that his No.2 Mark Bowen was a popular West Ham old boy, is too good for him to resist.
