Former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam says Tottenham should delay their move for Fulham wing-back Ryan Sessegnon.

Adam believes they should wait 12 months.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport: “The big thing is, Tripper and Rose, are they going to leave? But Sessegnon, if they wait another year they get him on a free.

“Why would you want to pay £25m now when you've got Danny Rose still on a year's contract?

“There's no need for that. He probably might replace him next summer. They're getting a £25m player next summer.

“They'll wait, probably sign an agreement in January and it'll be done."
