Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has taken aim at Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti.
Murphy insists Ancelotti doesn't suit Everton.
He told talkSPORT: "I think he's (Ancelotti) one of those managers who is better suited to a team full of superstars. My understanding of his role at Chelsea is that he kind of let them self-manage.
“They won the double but I don't think he was too influential in what they did tactically in training.
“I never thought it was the right fit, personally, even though everyone was raving. I think Ancelotti has been a terrific manager and is a terrific guy but I don't think it's what Everton needed.
“When Everton spent all that money on Marco Silva they should have gone for Brendan Rodgers.
“There's no doubting Ancelotti is a top manager in everything he's done but sometimes top managers can't walk in to a club like Everton and make them competitive with the top teams, for obvious reasons."
