Former Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is facing more heart tests.
Lucas, who now plays for Brazilian club Gremio, was forced to temporarily stop playing football in December due to a possible heart issue. Lucas was taken out of training after a potential cardiac issue was detected during routine screening.
The former Lazio midfielder has posted to social media: "The Department of Science, Health and Performance of Gremio Football Porto Alegrense informs that the athlete Lucas Leiva has started a new battery of tests to reassess his clinical condition.
“The results will be made available at the end of next week and the club will announce itself in due course."
