Michael Owen is supremely confident that he will find a new club before the end of the transfer window.

The 32-year old former Liverpool ace is a free agent after being released by Manchester United at the end of last season and has been linked with a number of clubs since.

None of the interest has resulted in him getting a move to another club but Owen feels self-assured that omething will occur soon.

"I do, yeah," he said when asked if he thinks he will find a new club soon.

"As with a lot of these situations, transfer windows and things like that, a lot of things happen later on in the window when people are refreshing their squads and things like that.

"So, yes, I have been in contact with quite a few teams and I definitely expect to be donning a new shirt quite soon."
