Ex-Liverpool, Man City keeper James not in Bristol City managerial plans

David James is not in the running for the vacant Bristol City managers role according to chairman Colin Sexstone.

The Robins disposed of Keith Millen after falling to the foot of the Championship table and are now on the hunt for a replacement but Sexstone veteran goalkeeper James will not fill the void despite some reports suggesting otherwise.

"He's not applied. David and his agent are taking that up with the paper," he told the club's official website.

"Where that story came from we don't know, there's no truth in it whatsoever."
