Ex-Liverpool boss Benitez swimming in cash after double sacking in 2010

Rafa Benitez is swimming in money after experiencing two sackings in 2010.

The Daily Mail says Benitez has secured a £2.5million settlement with Inter Milan, taking the total he has earned in pay-offs this year to a staggering £6.5m.

The Spaniard received £4m compensation when he left Liverpool in June. He took over at Inter a week later but lost his job for the second time in six months yesterday after a poor run of form in Serie A.

The £6.5m figure is more than the annual salary of any of the Barclays Premier League's leading managers. Chelsea's Carlo Ancelotti is understood to be the best-paid boss, on around £6m a year.
