Ex-Liverpool, Bolton, Blackburn striker Diouf signs new Doncaster Rovers deal

El-Hadji Diouf has agreed a new deal with Championship club Doncaster Rovers.

The 30-year old former Liverpool, Bolton, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers striker arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium on an initial three-month deal in November but has now extended that by signing a one-and-a-half-year contract.

"Yesterday, I talked with the club and I agreed to sign a new deal for one-and-a-half years. Why not? I am happy here," he told Sky Sports News.

"We have a good team. We laugh on and off the pitch. We are doing well. Why not stay?"

Diouf has scored two goals in four outings for Dean Saunders' side who sit second bottom on the tier two table.
