Former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has welcomed news of a deal for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
Tevez is set to sign for Juve after an agreement over a £10 million fee was struck yesterday.
"I think Tevez will be great for the championship. Many say he has a special character, but this will not be a problem," Cobolli Gigli told TMW.
"Higuain is probably better, but to tear him from Real Madrid you'd need to offer a figure higher than that of Tevez, who is due to leave City in 2014 and therefore can be brought home on favorable terms."
