Ex-Juventus president Cobolli Gigli unconvinced by Sarri: I prefer Allegri

Former Juventus president Giovani Cobolli Gigli is yet to be won over by coach Maurizio Sarri.

While playing down the significance of the Supercoppa defeat to Lazio, Cobolli Gigli believes Sarri's predecessor Max Allegri remains the superior coach.

He told Radio Sportiva: "Supercoppa? I wouldn't play too many dramas. Lazio did great things, especially in midfield, but from here to think the Juve enters crisis is a nonsense.

"The problem is the 24 goals conceded, which are many. Allegri or Sarri? I preferred Allegri because that Juve was extremely determined and better in defence, but today Juve must go on in its path.

"In the Champions League they must go as far as possible, with determination and greater confidence."
