Winger Sal Zizzo says he is in prime condition to help expansion franchise Portland Timbers in their home opener this weekend.
The 24-year old has managed just 24 minutes so far this season after suffering a separated shoulder a week before the club's MLS debut.
Ahead of thinks weekend's first Timbers match at home, the former Hannover and Fortuna Dujsseldorf man insists he is ready and raring to go after having a regular sessions with the strength and conditioning department.
"The previous couple of weeks, I was just kind of going through the motions, wanting to play but not really able to go 100 percent," Zizzo said.
"I almost feel more fit than I would been otherwise," Zizzo said of the sessions with Karim Derqaoui. "I'm ready to go."
Portland, currently placed at the foot of the Western Conference table, meet Chicago Fire at PGE Park on Thursday night.
