Ex-Genoa coach Marino delighted for Rodrigo Palacio over Inter Milan move

Former Genoa coach Pasquale Marino is convinced Rodrigo Palacio will succeed at Inter Milan.

Genoa President Enrico Preziosi announced an agreement was in place for the summer transfer to San Siro.

"He has proved his talents as a hitman despite the difficult season at Genoa," Marino told radiosport24.

"Palacio is a joker in the pack, as he can express himself at a high level both as a first and second striker.

"At Inter he can cover different roles, it all depends on the tactical system. He can start out wide on the left or even as a trequartista behind the two strikers.

"He really does provide a multitude of options and I am sure he'd work well with Ezequiel Lavezzi too... The only problems would be for those who have to mark them.

"Palacio is a great professional and a great worker, so it is always a pleasure to train him."
