USL PRO club Pittsburgh Riverhounds have announced the signing of Dutch striker Collins John.
The 28-year old Liberia-born forward has joined the Riverhounds on the eve of the 2014 USL PRO season after most recently playing in Poland with Piast Gliwice.
The well-travelled John is back in North America following his 2010 spell with Chicago Fire and his arrival has been welcomed by Pittsburgh head coach Justin Evans.
"Collins is a big, physical striker with a nose for scoring goals," said Evans.
"He has a tremendous amount of attacking talent and will be a handful for defenses in this league."
John began his professional career with FC Twente in 2002 before moving to Premier League club Fulham in 2004.
He remained at Craven Cottage for five seasons, scoring 20 goals in 92 appearances, before shifting to Belgian side Roeselare after loan stints with Leicester City, Watford and NEC Nijmegen.
His first move to the US was next, spending a season with the Fire, prior to a 2011 shift to Azerbaijan club Gabala and then onto Iran with Padideh FC (then Mes Sarcheshmeh) before returning to England with Barnet in 2012.
