James McFadden is expected to sign with Motherwell on Wednesday according to manager Stuart McCall.
The former Everton and Sunderland forward was on a short-term deal with the Well last season and after returning to the club for pre-season training, looks set to put pen to a permanent contract.
"He will be in tomorrow to sign," said McCall.
"I'm led to believe it's going to happen and, if it does, it will be another good addition to the squad.
"Once he's done it, it will be a shot in the arm for the fans."
