Former Everton captain Mick Lyons has jumped to the defence of manager David Moyes.
After watching Everton's poor display at Bolton last Sunday, the one-time Goodison skipper won't hide away from pointing the finger of blame, despite their progress to the FA Cup Fifth Round.
"The problem is that we've gone over half the season and we still don't really know our best team," Lyons, 59, told the Daily Star Sunday.
"And for that you look at the players - you don't blame the manager.
"There have not been enough players in the team who have stood up and said, 'You can't leave me out'. Some have - Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman and Phil Neville. But not enough."
