Former Everton academy chief David Unsworth is a candidate for the Blackburn Rovers job.

Unsworth has left Everton in order to launch his managerial career.

And he is being linked with the Rovers job, where Tony Mowbray has chosen to step down.

Aston Villa assistant manager Michael Beale is also being considered.

Rovers finished in eighth place on the Championship table this season.
