Cork City have announced the signing of former Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney.

A former Republic of Ireland international, Delaney played for Cork City 18 years ago! He is now rejoining his boyhood team.

Delaney is eligible to play for his new team from July 1, when his transfer goes through.

He will be there until the end of the 2019 season.

Delaney's career took him from Cork to Leicester, Hull, QPR, Ipswich and Crystal Palace. Now he is back at the club where it all started for him.
