Ex-Crewe boss Holland takes Stoke academy job

Former Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Holland has been appointed as manager of Stoke City's academy.

BBC Radio Stoke says Holland, who left Crewe in November, has turned down a similar role at Chelsea in favour of a move to the Britannia Stadium.

He replaces George Foster, who left the Potters to take up a role at Glenn Hoddle's soccer school.

Before managing the Alex, Holland was in charge of the Crewe academy.
