Ex-Chelsea, Tottenham keeper Cudicini apologises to LA Galaxy fans for 5-0 rout

LA Galaxy goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has apologised to supporters following the dismal 5-0 loss to New England Revolution on the weekend.

The back-to-back MLS champions were hammered pillar to post by the Revs at Gillette Stadium leaving Cudicini to say sorry for the disastrous performance.

"I think today we don't have to talk about the game," the Italian goalkeeper told reporters.

"Today we have to just issue apologies to our fans, to the club, to those who follow us, and, personally, to my teammates.

"I think that losing 5-0, [there] is no excuse for that, so I think it's pointless to try to find any excuses. It's a bad day. We have to forget quickly and start again next week."

The loss saw the Galaxy drop to fifth place on the Western Conference table, making it their third defeat in five outings ahead of this weekend's meeting with Real Salt Lake.
