Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas was full of praise for 'big game player' N'Golo Kante.
The French defensive midfielder looked like his old self with a masterclass in midfield against Real Madrid away from home.
Chelsea dominated the game for long periods in Madrid, but could only manage a 1-1 draw to take to the second leg at Stamford Bridge in a week's time.
Christian Pulisic gave Chelsea the lead, before Karim Benzema equalised for Real.
Fabregas was impressed with Kante as he watched the game on television.
The 33-year-old ex-Spanish midfielder tweeted during the game: "N'Golo has always been a big game player. Never doubt him. He plays for 2."
