Former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is still the man Celtic want in charge of the club ahead of next season.

Howe departed the Cherries less than a year ago, and is keen on the job.

He wishes to take assistants Stephen Purches and Simon Weatherstone with him to the Glasgow club, per Sky Sports.

Celtic are still in talks with Howe, but there is still no agreement to officially announce him as the club's new boss.

The Hoops finished 25 points behind champions Rangers in the Scottish Premiership this season.
