Former Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is in talks with Newcastle United.
The Mirror says Howe is 'in talks to become Newcastle boss' with Steve Bruce facing the sack this week as part of the new Saudi owners' management shake-up.
The Magpies are currently 19th in the league, having failed to win any of their opening eight games and losing five, including Sunday's 3-2 loss to Spurs.
But the club's new owners want them to be challenging for silverware in the near future and reportedly believe that Howe is the right man for the job.
Howe took Bournemouth from League One to the Premier League in just three seasons and kept them up for four years, until they were finally relegated in 2019-20.
