Former Birmingham City chairman David Gold says Karren Brady will be joining he and David Sullivan should they takeover West Ham United.

He said: "Yes, we'll soon be back - the three of us because we are a formidable team.

"We will be lurking in the background and I think many clubs would be glad to see us arrive!

"The debts that appear to be at West Ham seem huge - I'm not sure I could face what is going on there - but West Ham do need help and quickly.

"It is a club close to my heart and I would love to be involved with them."
