Former Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta feels this could be the final season for Pep Guardiola at the Nou Camp. Guardiola is yet to indicate whether he will extend his current deal at Barca.

"I think one day in Barcelona his cycle will end, he will know when it is the right time. I think as a professional he will want to meet new challenges," said Mendieta.

"The coming season it could occur, depends on how they finish. In the near future we may see Guardiola at another team, perhaps because of his Italian experience as a player it will be easier to go to Calcio, though he is a connoisseur of world soccer and could succeed anywhere."
