Ex-Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes announces retirement

Former Barcelona and Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has announced his retirement.

The Sun says Valdes has retired from football after rejecting offers from Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Lisbon – and turned his attention to becoming a media mogul.

Valdes, 35, who won everything there is to win during his time with Spain and Barcelona, has finally hung up his gloves.

But rather than go into coaching or punditry, the famed keeper will take the unusual step of going behind the camera.

Valdes has set up a television company called Crazy4fun with partners Rafa Coto and David Boja, according to Mundo Deportivo.
