Ex-Barcelona coach Koeman: Messi would ignore teammates and pass to Pedri

Holland coach Ronald Koeman has sung the praises of Xavi's Barcelona.

Although the former Barca boss did also take a swipe.

Koeman said, "Barça is doing very well. I saw Barcelona-Madrid, they played amazing football.

"They were very good, but, of course, if you have ten or twelve new players, everything is a little easier, it depends on the quality of your squad, in my stage it was different."

On Pedri, he also said: “When Pedri arrived I knew he would be very good. And it was (Lionel) Messi who also saw it right away. He gave the ball to Pedri while he did not pass it on to others.

"He was skipping other players because he wanted to keep possession of the ball."
