Ex-Barcelona coach Koeman: Luis Enrique out of order with Xavi DNA swipe

Holland coach and former Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman says Luis Enrique was out of order with his "Barca DNA" claims this week.

Before last night's Champions League defeat for his PSG by Barca, Enrique claimed his style of play suited the Blaugrana better than the work of Xavi.

Koeman responded this morning: "Barça DNA is winning titles. On game day, Luis Enrique and Xavi seemed like very good friends, but Luis Enrique's words about Barça DNA are out of place, because the day before a game talking about this topic is not good.

"It is a great result, but a match is still missing. Barça was very good at removing the first 5 or 10 minutes and deserved to win the game. They have known how to stop PSG players, especially Mbappé, but as I was saying, although a large part is done, there is still a game missing."

He also had words for one of the revelations of the season, Pau Cubarsí: "He plays in a very important position for the team, he is a cold boy who never seems nervous. He has to continue improving and training a lot, but everything indicates that he will have a great future."
