Former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Deco has received a 12-month doping ban.

Brazil's Superior Court of Sport Justice handed down the penalty after Deco tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide (a diuretic) and carboxy-tamoxifen (a hormone drug) in March.

Deco, who was playing with Fluminense, announced his retirement last month.
