Former Atletico Madrid assistant coach German Burgos admits he wants to launch his senior career in Spain.
The Argentine left Atletico at the end of last season in order to pursue a first senior coaching post.
Burgos told Super Deportivo, “What I have been clear on is that my first opportunity is going to be given to me in Spain. My first dream is to train in Spain. It has to be here, because I have earned credit to get started.
"I already had offers but I had to reject them."
However, Burgos also admits taking charge of River Plate is an ambition.
He said, "In me is the idea of going to River, because it is simply my home. Now there is a friend like (Marcelo) Gallardo, an extraordinary coach, and also (Enzo) Francescoli.
"Football stories are long and I am sure that one day it will happen, because it is my dream. That is precisely what I say to young people, not to stop pursuing their dreams. I am a dream chaser and River is one of my dreams, like the Argentina team."
