Former Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski has been linked with a shock move to Japan.

German publication Bild claims that the 31-year-old is set to join Japanese side Vissel Kobe this month.

The former Germany international, who currently plays for Turkish giants Galatasaray, was recently linked with a big-money move to Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan, but it appears that he will be moving to Japan instead.

The 2014 World Cup winner spent three years with the Gunners before moving to Turkey in 2015.
