Ex-AC Milan chief Braida to take charge at Barcelona

Former AC Milan football chief Ariedo Braida is being linked with Barcelona.

Barca are in the market for a new sports director after the sacking of Andoni Zubizarreta earlier this month.

El Mundo Deportivo says Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has decided to offer the job to Braida.

Bartomeu's plan is for Braida to form part of a committee created by the club which will also contain advisor Carles Rexach, vicepresident Jordi Mestre and director Javier Bordas.

Braida worked for Milan for over 28 years, as general manager and later technical director; he left the Italian club in 2013.
