Former AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini says Ruben Loftus-Cheek needs to lift his game.
The former Chelsea midfielder has battled for consistency since his arrival.
Ambrosini told Gazzetta.it: "Loftus Cheek? He has to raise the bar because someone with his physique and his qualities cannot do so little. In transitional football like that of Milan, and in a team where not so many goals come from the attacking department, the midfielders must raise their level.
"Milan play with wingers who like to dribble, and then the area must be filled in some way."
For Ambrosini, however, there is no doubt as to which of the new signings has had the best impact in this first part of the season.
"Who has had the best impact of the new signings? Tijjani Reijnders, for continuity."
