Tim Cahill is expecting more from Everton teammate Nikica Jelavic after he again scored in their FA Cup semifinal defeat to Liverpool.

Everton were ahead through Jelavic's fifth goal in five games at that stage, the former Rangers striker once again proving one of the best buys of the January transfer window.

Midfielder Cahill said: "Jela's a top player, top player. Scores goals and good for the team.

"A striker, he's what I've been crying out for and the manager's brought him in so, exceptional."
