Everton's AJ: Goodison crowd can stun Chelsea

Everton striker Andy Johnson says the Goodison Park crowd will have a major say in tomorrow night's Carling Cup semifinal second-leg against Chelsea.

"There will be a fantastic atmosphere at Goodison," he said. "Everyone knows it's a tough place to come, with 40,000 fans screaming away.

"It's been hard for sides here over the last few years and we can use that to our advantage. Arsene Wenger said he doesn't like coming to our place. It would be nice if Avram Grant was saying the same.

"But we're not worried about them, just us and I'm sure that will be enough on Wednesday. I hope so because it's every kid's dream to play at Wembley."

Everton could hardly be in better form. They are locked in a battle for fourth spot and still dreaming of UEFA Cup glory, aside from their Carling Cup heroics.

Johnson added: "There's a lot of strength in this squad now, with some top players on the bench.

"Every time we go out we believe we're going to win. We've been scoring from all angles, which takes pressure off the strikers, too. The likes of Tim Cahill, Leon Osman and Joleon Lescott have all got six or seven - and we're very strong defensively."
