Everton young gun Jack Rodwell will blame Tim Cahill if the clubs trip to Australia does not live up to expectations.
The Merseyside club are due to arrive in Sydney today for their three-match tour of Australia and Rodwell says if Cahill's words are true, they are in for a special time down under but insists it is on the Socceroos star's his head if he is wrong.
"I've heard great things about Australia," the youngster said in an exclusive interview with evertonTV. "Though, having said that, it's mainly been from Tim Cahill! He's always going to say it's good, so it's on his head really! No, in all seriousness, you just know it's going to be one of those fantastic places to visit.
"Obviously it's a long trip but I've never been before and I'm sure it will be good for us in terms of bonding, sight-seeing and getting some good games under our belt before the new season.
"I'm looking forward to maybe getting a few hours off in the afternoons to look around but, most importantly, I'm hoping the games and the training will be good and we'll all be fighting fit for the first game of the season."
The Toffees will take on A-League clubs Sydney FC, Melbourne Heart and Brisbane Roar in their Down Under pre-season tour.
