Everton youngster Nathan Patterson is facing yet another spell on the sidelines as a result of an injury he picked up in a recent game.
Patterson got a knock in the humiliating 4-1 defeat to Brighton at Goodison Park this week.
He came off after an hour in the match, with the 21-year-old set for scans due to possible medial ligament damage.
"It's a knee injury and it could be weeks. Medial ligaments. We'll have to get it scanned but it looks like a medial [issue], which is not ideal," Everton boss Frank Lampard said post-match.
Patterson made an error for Brighton's first goal in the game, which led to a flurry of Brighton goals in the second period.
