Everton winger Bernard says Richarlison deserves to be part of the Brazil squad.

As for himself, the midfielder is happy to focus on his club form for now.

“Richarlison is a really great player and really deserves the call up for the Brazil team," he said. “He has been doing well and has the characteristics to play well in the Premier League.

“For me, it is something that would be nice but I want to focus on Everton first.

“I did not play for six months. I have been playing well but have only just got here.

“Things happen naturally. I want to concentrate here and keep doing well and perhaps something will come up.

“But I need to show my football here and see how it goes from there."
