Everton whiz Tom Davies: Packed midfield benefits me

Everton midfielder Tom Davies is confident his game will continue to improve thanks to senior teammates.

The Toffees' engine room is a competitive place to be part of at present, with the 18-year-old vying for starting spots with Morgan Schneiderlin, Gareth Barry, Idrissa Gana Gueye and James McCarthy, while Mo Besic is working his way back to full fitness.

“We have so many top midfielders here but that's a good thing for me," Davies told evertonfc.com.

“You can see how good they are in training. In the games they help so much so it's good being around them and learning from them.

“I'm taking as much as I can from them and if I can pick up as much as I can, I'm sure my game is only going to come on.

“(The manager) has been great with me. Him and all the coaching staff right through the Academy. They've always been good and I owe everything I've done to them. The manager's helped me out a lot and it's only going to continue if I keep listening to him and keep working hard."
