Everton manager Roberto Martinez is eager to have John Stones available for the derby with Liverpool.
The England centre back limped out of the Toffees' Capital One Cup win over Reading during the week with a ligament problem.
"It's just the medial ligament in the knee, a little bit of a strain," Martinez said.
"I feel that he could easily be ready for Monday (against West Brom) but there are many games to come so there's no point risking him. He needs to be 100 per cent."
Should Stones miss out then Martinez will hand a first Premier League start to Ramiro Funes Mori.
