Leicester City must up their offer to land Everton striker Jermaine Beckford.
The Sun says Leicester put in a bid of £2.5million but it falls short of the £3m Everton are looking for.
Foxes boss Sven Goran Eriksson targeted Beckford, 27, after missing out on Robbie Keane and Shane Long.
Everton manager David Moyes wants a new striker and £3m from the sale of Beckford could allow him to bring in a proven front runner on loan.
