Everton have slapped a £4million price tag on James McFadden in a bid to block Birmingham.
Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has had a £2.5m offer turned down and is keen to team up with the striker, 24, who played for him when he was Scotland gaffer.
McFadden has eight goals so far this season and Everton chief David Moyes is reluctant to sell, despite the hitman not being a regular starter.
