Real Madrid midfielder Royston Drenthe has emerged as a strong transfer target for Everton according to recent reports.
Toffees boss David Moyes is keen to have a player as back-up in case Mikel Arteta heads for Arsenal and it appears as though the 24-year old Dutchman is that man.
Drenthe, who was loaned out to Hercules last season, could be on his way to Goodison Park for a season-long loan and Moyes is believed to be determined to push through a deal prior to tonight's transfer deadline.
