Montpellier midfielder Benjamin Stambouli is interesting Everton.

The Mirror says Stambouli, 23, can play either in defence or midfield and his contract expires in 2015.

The Toffees have been watching him and could be seen as a squad player for next season.

Despite Montpellier struggling in Ligue 1 this season, Stambouli has been an ever-present in Louis Nicollin's squad.
