Sunderland defender Lamine Kone has issued an ultimatum to the Black Cats regarding a new contract, according to the Daily Star.
The report claims that Sunderland verbally agreed to offer a new contract to Kone when former manager Sam Allardyce was still in charge of the club, however, they have now reneged on the deal leaving the player upset.
The Ivorian was filmed on social media, telling supporters: "The club promised me a new contract."
Quizzed on whether or not he wanted to stay at Sunderland, he said: "Yes."
Kone demands a new £70,000-a-week deal which would put him on par with his teammate Younes Kaboul
The 27-year-old, who joined Sunderland from Lorient eight months ago, has emerged as a top transfer target for Everton.
The Toffees have reportedly already made a £21m bid for him.
