Premier League clubs are showing interest in Bordeaux midfielder Clement Chantome.

The 28-year-old is out of contract this summer and the fact he will become a free agent has attracted the interest of Everton, Sunderland and Middlesbrough.

The Sunderland Echo is of the belief that the Black Cats are keen on the former PSG man and are one of a trio of English top flight sides keen.

It is also believed that the Toffees and Boro have held advanced talks with Chantome who joined Bordeaux in January 2015.
