Everton striker Steven Naismith admits those fans taking up his generous ticket offer have had their money's worth.
After deciding that his four Goodison Park season books for every home game in this campaign would be given free to unemployed fans via a concept he devised with local Jobcentres, they've been treated to some preposterously good Premier League entertainment.
"I've met them at the games and it's fair to say they've had a good deal so far - Arsenal 2-2 and then Chelsea 6-3!" enthused Naismith to the Mail on Sunday. "They had a fantastic day out. A lot of my team-mates said it was a great thing to do but the biggest thing was hearing from the people getting the tickets and the difference they say it makes to them.
"It's a small, very simple, idea which isn't a lot of hassle. But for them to be as positive as they were makes it all worthwhile."
