Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin thrilled with winning Premier League debut

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was thrilled with his debut in victory over Arsenal.

It was Calvert-Lewin's leap from Leighton Baines' free-kick that forced the Gunners into conceding the corner from which Ashley Williams secured the win at Goodison Park.

And the youngster was delighted to play his part.

“I am delighted to make my Premier League debut," told evertontv. “It is something I have been dreaming of since I was a kid. To come on in the circumstances and get the result in the end just made it all the more special.

I've made my debut a little quicker than I thought I would, so I made the right decision coming to Everton.

“I nearly got on the end of a free-kick. I just didn't get the contact I wanted. But obviously Ash has got the next one.

“I had a little swing and a miss at the end as well. Thankfully the lads were on the line to get it away. It shows the character in the team to dig in and get the three points."
