Everton striker Cenk Tosun admits he was blocked from leaving in January.

Tosun has scored just three goals in 25 appearances for Everton this season and claims he had offers from Spain and the Premier League to go out on loan for the rest of the campaign.

The Turkey striker, who cost Everton £27million from Besiktas 14 months ago, felt a move would have helped him reignite his career, but says the Blues refused to let him leave.

“I had offers from Spanish and English clubs," he said.

“I told the club I was ready to go out on loan to return stronger, but they told me they needed me here."
