Everton captain Phil Neville insists their thrashing at Benfica in midweek was a one-off.

It was a severely under-strength Blues side which suffered that defeat, and Club captain Neville is confident the nature of the reverse will serve to galvanise his troops.

"The game at Goodison will be different," he told evertonfc.com. "You'll see a different Everton side. I'm convinced that we can beat them

"I think the score line tonight tells you we've made five mistakes. We can't make those mistakes against the top European sides if we want to progress and win this competition which we do."
