Kevin Mirallas admits he has been breaking the pain barrier in order to give his best for Everton.
The Belgian winger has been struggling with ankle ligament problems since he was clattered by QPR's Jordon Mutch on December 15 and the wear and tear is starting to show as he mustered a 90-minute effort just once in six matches.
Mirallas has started on the bench in each of the Toffees' past two outings although he did produce a stunning show in Tuesday night's FA Cup third round loss to West Ham United with a goal and an assist in the eventual penalty shootout defeat.
However, he admits it has been a battle to play freely and has revealed he has been seeking specialist treatment in a bid to get back to full fitness.
"The reason I didn't start the last two games was because I have pain in my ankle," Mirallas told the Echo.
"It's difficult, because some days it is good, and some days it is not so good.
"Some days I train normally, some days I can't," he said. "The last two weeks, it has been difficult.
"I have seen a specialist from Belgium over it. He came two days before the last game, and you can see I felt better after that! He worked his magic!
"I think in 10 days I will feel 100%. But for now, it is 90%. The main thing is that I am able to play."
